Equine Physiotherapy

Initial Assessment

During an initial appointment your horse will be looked at both statically and dynamically, this may be trotting up on a hard surface or lunging on a soft surface depending on your facilities. A full assessment of all 4 limbs, the spine and the muscles will then be carried out to identify problem areas.

Treatment

Treatment will be tailored according to the finding of the initial assessment. Treatment can include:

  • Massage

  • Electrotherapy

  • Stretching 

  • Mobilisation

  • Remedial exercise programmes

  • Bespoke management advice.

Follow Up Appointment

At the start of each session your horse will be reassessed in order to ascertain whether the treatment and management advice given following the initial treatment has been beneficial. Depending on the findings we can adjust the on going management for your horse as necessary, to ensure they are making the best progress.
